Here’s a beautiful poet. This poem in particular strikes a chord with me as it is in sync with my recent blog topics of hypocrisy and caring for the broken. but this isn’t about me – meet Kae. I trust you will be blessed by her heartfelt prose.

Buckets on a Barefoot Beach


sometimes Eli still sits in his fat buttered nest

flopping over

a chair and a desk

covered with sermon scraps and tithes and indifference and other such clutter which



from orphans and widows

and tears

so …

taking a bite

out of his chicken leg

he plans his next

Church picnic

and judges
