Birthday Blues

It’s my birthday today. Well of course, I’m cheating and writing this the day before so I don’t look like a saddo with nowt better to do than to blog on my birthday.

(It’s the first time I’m posting via my phone – feels weird. Has anyone else done that or do you always use a desktop pc?)

I decided to investigate and see which celebrities were born the same year as me.
Here’s a list of who could have been in my class at school:

Pamela Anderson (gulp!)
Julia Roberts
Nicole Kidman
Vin Diesel (Geesh!)
Guy Pearce ( remember Neighbours?)
Matt Le Blanc
John Barrowman
Harry Connick Jnr
Rhys Ifans ( what! Spike?)
Faith Hill
Carla Bruni

Okay, I’m bored with this now.

I have refocused onto somebody who doesn’t share the same year as me, but the date. A few years ago little Madeline McCann mysteriously disappeared in what looks like an abduction. Her 4th birthday 12 May, was the week after.

So I can’t help feeling a tinge of sadness every year at this time. It then takes my mind onto the millions of children who are abducted every minute of the day for the purpose of the evil sex trade.

The statistics related to this atrosity are astounding. I will share them with you soon.

I really can’t bear the thought of poor Maddie and so many others suffering in this way. Indescribably tortured, alone and separated from their parents. But many of these victims have actually been sold by the hand of their mothers.

I won’t go on right now – I have to choose my words very carefully.

See you soon xx

  1. Poor Madeline. I know. It makes me sick too to think of what so many children go through. May God have mercy on them all! ……………………….. I DO hope you have a happy birthday, though, inspite of these terrible things. 🙂

  2. Ps I usually use pc for all online stuff but occasionally like now, I am on my phone which is not great for typing because it is a touch screen phone so the key pad is small and sensitive but the little icons are cool ğŸ˜Ž

  3. Excellent Post!!

    Have a good day
