The Greedy Polar Bear

polar bear

My second favourite sin analogy is the one about the polar bear.

Poachers are not so stupid as to approach him with a knife.
And shooting him just splatters blood all over that nice white fur they are after.

So they stick a frozen piece of meat through a very sharp knife.

The bear begins to lick the delicious morsel and after some time, his tongue becomes numb from the ice.

He continues to lick until the meat starts to defrost which he thinks is good for him because he can now eat it. But unfortunately this also means that the blade begins to poke through.

With no feeling in his tongue, the bear does not realise that he is now licking the razor sharp knife.

It is not long the knife goes through his tongue and cuts it off completely.

He now cannot eat properly, ends up in extreme pain, and dies.

Please note that there may be ads at the bottom of this blog. They are NOT authorised by me and I’ve noticed some not so nice ones. They can be distracting I know, and I’d like nothing better than to have them removed. And I can…for a fee. In the meantime, please ignore them. They have been put on by the WordPress bigwigs because that’s how they gain money from a site that most of us don’t pay for. Thanks for your understanding.
