Often when I receive a report from someone who testifies to being greatly encouraged by something that I have written, I also receive a backlash from the devil, usually in the form of someone else who’s too lazy to read properly and subsequently picks up the wrong end of the stick.
Jesus warned us that our greatest opponents would be fellow soldiers in the army rather than the ones who are shooting at us from the trenches way yonder.
However he also warned us to keep a spirit of unity and forgiveness as:
“We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn.” Isaiah 54:17
Today is a day when I need to get out my victory song. This, along with the two precious verses above, always helps me without fail. It encourages me humbly, not proudly, that I must be doing something right.
The devil is roaming about looking for someone to devour, but when he comes round my corner, I remind him that he’s defeated and has to flee from my presence.
To all you dear Christian brothers and sisters who know what I mean, this song is for you too. Use it when the attacks come, especially the verbal ones. You may even need it this week.
