No More Night, No More Pain

Poetry Friday:

The words of this song are best listened to, as he sings with complete conviction and passion.

If you wish to listen to it along with the lyrics, type into YouTube:

“No More Night (Live)  David Phelps” and it’s the Gaither VEVO one that lasts for 4:53 minutes

No More Night

The timeless theme, Earth and Heaven will pass away,
Its not a dream, God will make all things new that day.
Gone is the curse from which I stumbled and fell,
Evil is banished to eternal hell,

No more night, no more pain,
No more tears, never crying again.
And praises to the great, “I AM”.
We will live in the light of the risen Lamb.

See all around, now the nations bow down to sing,
The only sound is the praises to Christ, our King.
Slowly the names from the book are read,
I know the King, so there’s no need to dread.

See over there, there’s a mansion,
That’s prepared just for me.
Where I will live with my Saviour, eternally.

No more night, no more pain
No more tears, never crying again.
And praises to the great, “I AM”.
We will live in the light of the risen Lamb.

  1. So .. you know I won’t listen to it?
You know you’re wasting your time?

Oh ye of so little faith in thy human companions. tsk tsk.

The song is truly beautiful and touched my soul. I felt joyful and tearful at the same time.

But … I’m sad to say that the link didn’t work. Even following your instructions to the letter – the link is broken. So in order to listen to the song which you wanted to share I went to You Tube and typed ”No More Night David Phelps”. I’m not certain that the version I heard is the one which you wanted me to watch – as there are a handful of versions sung by David Phelps on You Tube.

It’s truly beautiful Sharon. Thank you so much for leading me to it. God bless you my friend. ~ C. x

    • Thanks Cobs, I’m glad it blessed you. I broke the link deliberately, as when I first placed it on, it was sat there large as life on my page, taking up too much memory. I was being stingy with my MB usage thingy, so I split it. This normally works, so I’m very sorry you had to search for it manually.

My suspicions were confirmed though, coz that ‘faithless’ comment was directed at Facebookers who never watch anything unless they know it’s gonna be either rude or cute.

No-one’s clicked onto it from there, like I thought – a different type of clientelle 😉 xx ( gotta voice to die for hasn’t he?)

      • He has indeed! A stunning voice which captures your attention and holds it I’d almost venture into ‘Heavenly’ – for it sounds not of this earth. Far too beautiful, too incredible. to be just an Earthly voice.

Sorry to hear that your Facebook friends haven’t shown any interest. Sadly the loss is entirely theirs, for they really don’t know what they’re missing. ~ C. x

      • 🙂 You describe his voice so well.

It’s okay about the FB thing. People on Pinterest & Facebook desire quick visual gratification, whereas WordPress lovers have the passion to read, digest and indulge themselves in an abundance of words and ideas.

My husband said that the full link should have just sat there without anything extra, but instead it embedded itself into my post. As you know by now, I’m not that techie, but I don’t recall that I did anything different. Never mind, I’m sure that whatever song version you heard, it was just as good as the one I was recommending. Mine was the Gaither one but I must admit, you would have had to endure the camera going around, honing in on serene and tearful faces, which sometimes can be a little distracting, especially when the ‘holy grimace’ is a little too saintly 🙂
